Duo Remote does not require you to create an account or log in. All core configurations, such as your saved TV and AC remotes, are stored strictly locally on your device. However, to maintain app stability, serve advertisements, and improve your experience, we use third-party services that may collect certain usage and device information as outlined below.

2. Device Permissions

To function as a universal remote, our app requests the following permissions:

• Infrared (IR) Transmit: Required to send IR commands to your home appliances. No personal data is collected through this permission.
• Network / Wi-Fi Access: Required to scan your local network for supported Smart TVs and send IP-based control commands. Network scanning occurs entirely on your local device.

3. Third-Party Services & Analytics

We use the following third-party services that may collect information used to identify your device or app instance:

• Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics: We use these to understand how the app is used and to fix crashes. They may collect app usage events, crash reports, device information, and identifiers such as app instance IDs. Google processes this data on our behalf.
• Advertising ID: AdMob may use your device's advertising ID to serve and measure ads. You can reset or delete it in your Android settings.
• Google AdMob: We use AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may use device identifiers, cookies, and similar technologies to serve personalized ads based on your interests and location.
• Google Play Billing: We offer a one-time "Lifetime Ad-Free" in-app purchase. Payment processing is handled securely by Google Play. We do not have access to your credit card information or billing details.

4. Data Security

Because your saved remotes and settings are stored locally, they are protected by your device's native operating system security. Diagnostic and analytics data handled by Google Firebase is transmitted securely and governed by Google's privacy policies.
